all, let's get this clear-if you spend the
time traveling to the middle of nowhere, and
your priorities are drinking huge amounts of
alcohol, and insist on comparing the food to
top restaurants in some major metropolitan
city...then don't come here.
The IC on Moorea is for people whom want to
enjoy the amazing natural beauty of Moorea,

The property is beautiful and well maintained.
The staff, while not overly friendly, was very
cordial and eager to help. Food was good, to
excellent at times. Remember folks, you're out
in the middle of the Pacific. Not a lot of
supermarkets near by. How they manage to
prepare the meals they do, is nothing less
In addition, while we flirted with the idea of
staying at the Pearl or the Sheraton, from
what we saw of those properties, we made the
right choice. The lagoons at the IC provide
fantastic snorkeling and beach lounging. The
OWB we stayed in was great. I think the maid
came by three+ times a day to keep the room
tidy and make sure towels were fresh.
Would absolutely stay there again!

We unexpectedly came here after being disappointed at
the Intercontinental Beachcomber in Tahiti. We kept
hearing that Moorea was the better resort. So, the
friendly Intercontinental Tahiti staff helped me
transfer my room vouchers to the Moorea resort at no
additional cost! We were upgraded (I think) to a beach
bungalow. This room may have been one of the nicest
I've stayed in... the bathroom was gorgeous - mirrors
everywhere with a great open shower. The deck was so
cute and the view of the beach and lagoon was amazing.
There were flowers everywhere you went. Women were
expected to pick up flowers and put them in their hair
or behind their ear (actually, men, too!) which made
it even more romantic!
Because cab rides are outrageously expensive, each
restaurant gives you a free ride. You pick between an
early time and a later time and they send a shuttle to
your hotel. This makes for interesting conversation
with other travelers on your way to dinner. The pearl
shops also do this, which makes shopping even that
much more fun!
Our first and best dinner was at Alberto's where Ron,
a "local" American, plays classic favorites for the
crowd. The Italian food at Albertos was great
considering we were in the FP and the music was even
better! We ended up seeing Ron play at another
restaurant on our last night on Moorea, which was
We bought pearls at the Black Pearl Gem Company. It

Back to the hotel...
The pool was great. A little busy at times, especially
when the cruise ship people stopped by. They probably
came here because it must be one of, if not the,
nicest hotel on the island. But it was not a big deal.
Overall, I would definitely come here again If I were
to come all the way to the FP again, which I probably
won't. It was the prettiest island I saw (others were
Bora Bora and Tahiti) and the hotel was gorgeous.
Oh! And we went for a couples deal at the Spa... so
incredible! A fresh water bath, a massage, and a
flower bath were just what we needed to make our
honeymoon complete. If you go here, you have to do the
flower bath - it's amazing! This is ranked one of the
most beautiful spas in the world... and it is!
Every bungalow here has air-conditioning, which was very
important to us! I love the way the bungalows are constructed.
There were shutters on either side of the bed, which could be
opened to let in the fragrant breezes. The one time it rained
during our trip (very late at night), we woke up to the sound
of the downpour hitting the thatched roof, a very unusual
sound, but also romantic!
I had requested #311, and they gave it to us! It is definitely
the best one at the resort. While it was very dark when we
first got to the room, waking up the next morning, we were
greeted with the most beautiful view imaginable. The deck of
311 is framed with beautiful tropical palms and other tropical
trees and bushes. It is right on the beach (a few of the
bungalows are set back a bit), allowing us a perfect view of
the ocean, and immediate access to the beach. There was a
hammock right next to our bungalow, which was not once (that
we noticed) used by anyone else the entire time we were there.
Fare Hana Restaurant - This casual poolside
restaurant offers day-long dining; a breakfast menu is
available throughout the day.
Restaurant - Overlooking the pool and the reef, this
restaurant is open for breakfast and dinner.
Bar - Between the lobby and the pool, the bar provides a
relaxing atmosphere and breathtaking colors at sunset; it
features tropical cocktails, and live music and various
daily demonstrations at sunset.
